A Few More Pictures

Happy Friday!

I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post! I have been meaning to share these pictures with you.

This hallway leads to the great room. The mirror is made from a vintage door and salvaged architectural pieces.

Our Dining Room

I painted this secretary just before Christmas. It is a work in progress, I wanted green but I'm not really happy with this green. Maybe I'll work on it next week:)

This bookcase holds some of my collection of white vintage planters and vases.

Thanks for taking a look. I  really want to learn more about taking good photos and editing them. I would love to share more photos of things I've been working on for my shop. Hopefully the pins on new board on Pinterest ,"Things I want to learn how to do," will help me! We will see, it really is on my list:)

I've linked up with Jennifer Rizzo's Fabulously Creative Linky Party today as well as Miss Mustard Seed's Furniture Feature Friday.  Have a great weekend! TTYS

Vacation and a Linky Party

Hello,

We've enjoyed a restful week, I hope that you have too!  We took this photo on Christmas Day while on one of the many walks we have taken this week on vacation. We have been on a few bike rides as well, trying to burn off some of the calories we have consumed this week. We are here with my mom and one of my brothers and his family. My sister in law is a very good cook and everything we have eaten has been delicious! But it must stop!!!! None of our clothes will fit when I get back home:)

Today I've linked up with Jennfer Rizzo's Fabulously Creative Friday Linky Party.  Maybe you would like to take a look?

Enjoy your day!

Christmas on Anna Maria Island

Merry Christmas!

I hope that you all have a relaxing Christmas holiday with your loved ones. We are visiting Anna Maria Island this Christmas and I thought I'd share the beautiful coastal home we are staying in over the holidays. I brought the tree in the picture above with us, but forgot the extension cord:) The teens and young adults made some of the ornaments on Sunday using some of the tiny shells and sand from the beach here. I thought they would make nice souvenirs for them to take back home.

This house offers coastal living at its best! It is spacious and well equipped for large families, not to mention that it is beautifully decorated, but not to fussy. the house has a very relaxed comfortable feel. Anna Maria is a sweet little area with lots of great cottages and the cutest little shops and restaurants. So far we have enjoyed beautiful sunsets, a long walk on the beach( where we found lots of pretty little shells), a bike ride through this great little area and incredible sunsets. Click onto to Sato Real Estate Company's  to see more pictures of this beautiful house (even a virtual tour) and view lots of other cottages that are available for rent.

We are really enjoying our time here! I know the week is going to fly by! Again, Merry Christmas to you and yours!

More Nautical/Coastal Christmas Decor

Happy December 20th!

How is everyone doing with their Christmas doings?  I am ready, or at least I think I am. :)  Today I wanted to share the last of my Christmas decorations with you. Hopefully these last few pictures will show how the decor looks together.

It's not the traditional red and green, but festive.  We have really enjoyed sitting by the tree at night, or maybe I should say we have really enjoyed being home a little more to enjoy sitting by the tree:)  I hope that you all have had some time like that too.

Praying for Healing...

It's been a tough weekend thinking of the tremendous loss suffered by the families and the community of  Newtown,  Connecticut.  I continue to pray for healing for them during this very difficult time.
